Dear Duly Initiated Members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.,

WELCOME HOME! The Membership Committee is committed to our mission to strengthen NMAC’s sisterhood, reclaim inactive sorors, support sorors in becoming active and engaged, and to retain all sorors by encouraging sisterhood through service.

 

SISTERHOOD is essential to the fabric of our chapter, and by extension to the fabric of the service we provide to our community.

​

To be a sister, is to be a friend. It is to be loyal. Tried and true. It is to give a smile, lend a hand, and practice friendship. It is to be forgiving. To be a covering, a balm, a helping hand, a fierce advocate and builder of your sisters.

​

What a powerful impact, the love and sisterhood you exude, we exude, can make.  It can be transformative to one another and to the Washington Heights and Inwood communities!

It is in this spirit, that the Membership Committee is grounded in our guiding principle:
